Garb 101

If you are a Newcomer to the SCA or if you just need some tips on new types of Garb this is your place to be.  I have tripped around looking for some good Web Sites that have not only good Instructions for Period Garb but also great Historical Information on different types of Garb.  Take your time and send me any feedback you might have on any of these Sites.

This is the Link to Reconstructing History.com  They are a great place for beginners to start and a great place for those of us who have been involved for longer periods to get some help in becoming more historically correct with our Garb.  They have some great patterns for beginners and some great information on later period items that they have personally researched and made historically accurate recreations of.  Whether you are in need of some information or some easy beginners patterns this site is a great place to start.

This link was graciously allowed by a member of our Shire, Emeleth MacEwen.  She is a seamstress in her own right and these are basic instructions on a basic T-Tunic style which can be used for everything from a plain T-Tunic design to a Fancy Dress depending on the amount of time you want to put into it.
